Here is what our participants say

Amanda Dwelley, thank you for your openness, genuine interest in each of us as a person, and giving your time/expertise on equity metrics and possible climate pathways into that work from a practitioner’s lens [..]. We all came away with a usable network of resources, tools, and community organizations. Particularly, I enjoyed how our group deepened my understanding of how our impact and response to climate is not created equal. The varying makeup of each industry — from resource constraints, regulations, wealth, climate/tech literacy, motivations to incentives — creates a spectrum of advantages and disadvantages to varying degrees. [I look forward to exploring how] we might embed access, intention, and inclusion of community/lived experiences to co-create synergy across those economic/institutional divides…

About Me

Today, my job title says civic designer, but my content expertise, approach, and skills remain a Venn diagram of my public health training, nonprofit management experience, and design strategy and innovation practice. My sustainability focus has taken many forms, sometimes it's in the foreground, other times in the background. Mostly, I'm a good listener and dot connector; a big picture thinker who sweats the details and cares about climate.

My Experience

One of my favourite parts is helping people discover what they really want on their own path and how to get there. Having been exposed to a lot of different fields, issues, and networks, I love being able to introduce and connect folks to areas that might otherwise not have been on their radar.

I hope to bring the equity lens to all my relationships because the climate and energy transitions must be just, but won’t be without commitment and intentionality in all aspects of this work.

About Me

I'm Jeni, ex-Googler and behavioral scientist who pivoted from digital product strategy to working on a question that kept me up at night: how do we shift businesses to prioritise wellbeing over profit? I collaborate with the London School of Economics developing practical tools like product and organisational diagnostics to do exactly that. I also support professionals in non-climate roles navigate structural constraints and find where they actually have agency to create change.

My Experience

I’ve conducted research revealing the “hidden business majority” of professionals who privately support business prioritising social & environmental impact over profit. At Google, I helped hundreds of app businesses build more effective experiences and get product-market fit using behavioral science, and I also host the Moral Footprint podcast featuring activists and thought leaders on realigning work and life within ecological boundaries, currently researching a book on the same theme.
