Hello Everyone, we are excited to invite you to an event organized by our #learn-energy subcommunity on the benefits of data for energy systems, happening on Tuesday, 6th of june, on 7:00 PM GMT ( 12:00 PM California / 3:00 PM New York / 9:00 PM Central Europe)
What you can expect from the event:
The majority of renewable energy sources are characterized by variability and intermittency, making it difficult to predict their power output. These attributes make more challenging the operation and management of power systems because more flexibility is needed to safeguard their normal operation and stability. We’ll discuss how new technologies, such as Internet of things (IOT) and Smart Metering, can result in power systems which are more efficient, secure, reliable, resilient, and sustainable by leveraging their data, based on recent commentary by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and associated publications. Our facilitator for this event will be @Mostafa Elkady – Subcommunity organizer for #learn-energy – mostafa@workonclimate.com
