About the Team The Subcommunities (subco for short) team is currently seeking 3 volunteers with a passion for people and community management! With 30k people in the Work on Climate (WoCl) Slack community, curating a navigable, useful, and helpful digital ecosystem for members is critical to our mission to make climate work mainstream. Subcommunities refers to Slack channels within WoCl, which are broken out by topic and categories like “learn” “role” and “geo.” Volunteers create programming and opportunities to help members make meaningful interactions, connect to valuable resources, and realize their full potential in the climate workforce transition.
5 hours/week consistently for the next 3-6 months.
By helping others on their journey to work on climate, you will increase your own chances of doing the same! You will also get hands on experience with community organizing, change management, and helping WoCl transition to communities of practice (CoP). Role Summary: We’re looking for an Outreach Program Manager to help us reach the right people and build a strong, engaged community in our Slack channels. In this role, you will work closely with both the marketing and SubCo (subcommunity) teams to create and implement outreach campaigns that attract individuals who are actively working on climate solutions and want to help others learn and build. Your work will be instrumental in creating a vibrant, supportive, and action-oriented climate community.

About the team Simply put, the Research Impact team studies Work on Climate’s impact! Our team serves as the compass to guide Work on Climate’s programs, events, and initiatives to make climate work mainstream. Today, the team is located throughout the United States.
Role Summary Climate change isn’t waiting, and so we can’t either. Our programs and initiatives need to be as good as possible as soon as possible. So, we are looking for experienced Qualitative Researchers to shepherd other teams on this path of rapid feedback gathering and product iteration to maximize the impact of our programs and initiatives.
5 hours/week consistently for the next 3-6 months (or longer!).
In order to truly address climate change at scale, Work on Climate’s Impact Research Team needs to consistently produce high-quality findings that enable our volunteers to make the most impact possible. As a Researcher (Qual or User), you will play a critical role in collaborating with other teams directly, enabling them to optimize their projects and initiatives to make the most impact possible.

About the team Today our Metrics & Data team is 5 total members from data engineering, data analyst, data visualization, and product backgrounds. We are geo located across Canada, US, Europe. Our standard meeting schedule is once a week, currently on Thursday @9am PST.
Our purpose Our team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the data infrastructure that provides data in a variety of formats used by WoCl teams for operational performance reporting, impact research, ad-hoc inquiries, and new emerging data-enabled pathways to understand and improve impact.
Role Summary You will collaborate with the other team members to execute and scale Work on Climate’s analytics capabilities. In this role, you will meet with other teams to understand their data needs, work hands-on with our product data sets, and support building out our GCP data pipeline infrastructure. You bring data analytics experience to building performant, reliable and maintainable data products.
5 hours / week for a minimum of 6 months. Additional time during the first 2-4 weeks to complete the onboarding process (setting up tools and access, meeting the team, diving into the data) will set you up for success as a team member.
